Handthrown on the potters wheel from translucent porcelain, with cobalt oxide mixed into the clay. This technique creates unique patterns flowing through the whole piece. Glazed inside, silky smooth polished porcelain on the outside.
Could be used either for serving or brewing Japanese green tea.
This Katakuchi was exhibited in Ma. Art Space Gallery in Brussels during an exhibition "The Art of Tea".
