I’m a potter exploring shapes and textures in porcelain. My main focus is on tea ware, because I find its rich history and ritualism truly inspiring.
Years of experience in product design gave me an ability to create forms that are carefully detailed, comfortable to hold and easy to use.My most important tools are my hands. They give objects their shapes, leaving subtle marks perpetuated by fire. These little gestures are often the only decoration, highlighted by the simplified form.
I decided to work with clay because it's an unusual natural material that changes its qualities during the process. It requires a lot of learning, while being a great teacher of humility. And transforming a ball of mud into a shiny, detailed piece is pure magic.I’m glad you found me and hope we can share a cup of tea someday 🍵
